Robotic Research Director of Commercial Systems to Speak at the 4th International Autonomous Trucks VDI Conference
Robotic Research LLC, one of the world’s leading autonomous technology providers, announced today that the company’s director of commercial systems, Joe Putney, will be a speaker during the 4th International Autonomous Trucks VDI Conference on November 4.
Putney will discuss multiple autonomous technology topics, including the U.S. Army Leader-Follower program, autonomy in poor conditions and how to address autonomous edge cases.
“I’m truly looking forward to this international autonomous event,” said Putney. “I can’t wait to discuss our team’s current work as well as other topics we have planned for the future autonomous projects, especially our research and development into autonomous edge cases. Our approach ensures a robust autonomous system that is necessary for operating in all conditions, including rain, poor weather conditions, off-road conditions and more. This is going to be a large topic in the world-wide autonomous dialogue moving forward, and we couldn’t be more excited to be a part this discussion.”
This three-day event is presented by VDI Wissensforum and will take place from November 3-5. VDI is a leading education provider for engineers, technical specialists and managers. They provide conventions, technology forums, courses and seminars each year, covering almost every technical discipline. VDI events bring more than 37,000 participants every year to train and develop their technical acumen.
This conference will cover topics relating to future truck innovations, autonomous transportation and the usage of new business models. Another focus will be on applications in the logistics value chain and last mile, as well as truck technology for autonomous driving – automation, connectivity and electrification – and evolving business strategies.
